It has been FREEZING here lately and coupled with the fact that it seems as if everyone is sick this time of year, I'm trying my hardest to avoid having two sick kids on my hands. The only way to really avoid the cold and A cold is to stay in it seems:( Most of the time it's just fine honestly..but there are definitely days that cabin fever sets in. We did get out for a little bit the other day when we recruited Grandma to help corral the kids at storytime at the Library. They definitely had fun and the lady running the program was great. Unfortunately there was a heck of a lot of coughing going on around us (which freaks this germophobe out) so I'm not sure when we'll be back. Spring perhaps?
When the crankiness sets in I always head down to my secret toy backup. The kids got a ton of stuff from generous family and friends for both their Birthday and Christmas, so we decided to keep some of it away until we needed a distraction. I've never been so glad about a decision I made:) The Toy of the Day today was the Fisher-Price Roll Along Musical Ponies they got for their bday from Aunt Sara. Standing on the boxes alone was entertainment for a few minutes. They then "helped" me put them together (killed 15 more minutes) and then it was time to ride. They have tried ride on toys before and don't quite get the going forward part...it's a little tough for this age, and these toys were no exception. I was cracking up since they would roll backwards and once they hit an obstacle get mighty annoyed that they were stuck. I spent another 20 or so minutes trying to teach them to turn around..no dice. At least we have a long and cold Winter ahead which is perfect for pony riding practice! By Spring they should be flying around the driveway with a real "giddy-up"...but for now...

too cute. My two would get frustrated too if they got stuck on something. They will learn in no time. I have pulled out all our spare toys but we didn't have a birthday close to Christmas either. TRU here I come!
How cute! I love C saying Bye Bye! Mine just push them from behind! lol
