Splish Splash...

It was a beautiful weekend after a string of gloomy, rainy days last week. We tried to spend as much time outside as we could. Yesterday my Mom and I took the kids to the park to run around and to a church carnival while Dave did some yardwork. Today was a great day to try out our new little splash pad thingy I got the kids. It's perfect because it's really shallow, but enough water for them to cool off and play in this summer.

The kids had so much fun..even though the water is freeeezing right out of the hose. How is it that kids don't care about that? They didn't even flinch!

This is fun!

Hmmm...wonder what this water tastes like...
Gavin said 3 new words this week: plane, cold and help. Here he is spotting a plane...

As the kids played Dave and I had rootbeet floats (what can I say, I was dying for one!) and left our cups where little hands could reach. Of course they got a hold of them and found the teeniest bit of melted ice cream in the bottom. This combined with the straw and spoon kept them busy for a good 20 minutes.

And last but not least, a note from Gavin to his Godmother (my sister-in-law). Man this kid is smart;) Hope you had a great day, Jen..we love you!

They look so grown up in those last couple of pics! What is that water toy they have? It looks cool!

It's so great to see Gavin and Camryn having so much fun enjoying the nice warm weather, especially in their "new" back yard. Their new water toy is really cool. Next time, I'm jumping in too. I like the way they got to sample the root beer floats. My grandkids are so SMART--they know what's good!
