What big eyes you have!

We've had a really busy week starting with Halloween. I probably should have updated sooner since I was off of work for 9 days (yay!) and am already going back tomorrow (boo!). Anyway, Halloween was so much fun and the kids LOVED it! They looked adorable in their costumes and really loved seeing the other kids in the neighborhood come up to the door in costume. They both put candy in all of the bags with a huge smile. Well, that is except for the little boy in the werewolf mask, they were NOT liking him. We had practiced saying trick or treat for a week or so and they did pretty good at the 10 or so houses we visited. Grandma and Grandpa and Grammie also came with us to join in the fun.

The house was a mess this week as Dave finished building the kids an awesome new playroom in part of the garage. G and C are loving their "new room" as they call it and having a new space to play is keeping them busy. After their birthday next week I'm sure they will also have new toys to play with. I think I'll be as happy as them because I'm tired of looking at the toys they have now! Here are a few pics of the almost finished room. All we have left to do is hang a few things and I want to paint a quote on the wall. I can't lie...having only a few toys in the living room and a contractor for a husband is SWEET.

We also raked a whole bunch of leaves this week in the backyard. The kiddos were actually pretty good at helping me to get them all in the bags (for 5 minutes anyway). Before the work started they had to jump in the leaves first of course! I ran in for the camera and got some great shots of them having a blast. Fall at it's finest!
As you can see from these pictures, G's hair had gotten SUPER long and the next day we were off for haircuts. This time I also made an appointment for C to get a trim..her first one:) I didn't think she'd cry but I wasn't exactly sure what she'd do! It ended up that she sat fine in the little firetruck and wanted out only once. Michelle, the girl who cuts their hair was the recipient of MANY dirty, dirty looks from my little Diva but got a smile in the end when she told her she looked pretty:) Works every time.
!
Next week C and G will be two already and I can't believe it. I'll be back then to share pictures and this years letters to the duo:)

They have gotten so big! They look so much older then when I saw them a few months ago.
Can I borrow your wonderful contractor husband to build me a playroom :)
